Charlotte Wise

Class Instructor

Her love of sport and a fascination with anatomy and human movement guided Charlotte to take her Sports Science degree, which she completed in 1998, and she has spent the past 20 years working as a personal trainer, Pilates instructor and Yoga instructor. She studied Pilates with Stott Pilates in 2008/2009 and began her Yoga teacher training in 2014, and specifically Yin Yoga in 2015.

Discovering Yoga brought balance to her physically dominated world and was the gateway to her appreciation of the slower, grounding practices that calm us mentally and emotionally. She found the Yin to her Yang. Working as a Flower Essence practitioner has underpinned this all. Flower Essence work is a beautiful compliment to her Yoga and Pilates teaching. She began her studies in Flower Essence work in 2012 and this is ongoing. Charlotte loves integrating these modalities; how they support and enhance each other is profound.

She has studied with inspiring teachers across the globe, spending many months in California studying Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, the founder of Yin yoga. Her study of anatomy, Chinese medicine and current fascia research has taken her across Europe and working with the ‘Australian Bush Flower Essences’ Australia holds a very special place in her heart. Travelling to Australia and then studying with Ian White, founder of the Australian Bush Flower Essences has deepened her love and awe for this continent.

Working with hundreds of people over the years, she respects and teaches from a functional approach. We are unique, our anatomy and skeletal variations are unique; there is no ‘one size fits all’. Charlotte loves finding the way to best support each and every individual in the way that they need, whether that is offering alternatives or adjustments in a Pilates class, or recommending a bespoke combination of Flower Essences to support.

When she is not teaching or working with Flower essences, she can usually be found outside and as close to nature as possible. Dog walking, seeking open green spaces or escaping to the coast to beach walk or surf. Occasionally found hiding with a hot chocolate and a good book.
