Samantha Emanuel

Samantha Emanuel is a seasoned dance professional with over two decades of experience in performance, teaching, and movement research. Currently pursuing an MSc in Dance Science at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Samantha brings a unique interdisciplinary approach to her work, blending insights from biomechanics, physiology, psychology, and neuroscience.

With a global perspective gained from performing and teaching in 42 countries, Samantha has developed a deep understanding of diverse movement practices and their cultural contexts. Her recent work has focused on the intersection of dance and healthcare, collaborating with physiotherapists to support patients with neurological pathologies and designing innovative movement programs for rehabilitation.

Samantha's expertise extends to creating nonlinear pedagogical movement programs, both online and in-person, demonstrating her adaptability and creativity in various learning environments. Her research interests lie in exploring the impact of dance within clinical settings, particularly for adults with acquired brain injuries.

Committed to advancing the field of dance science and its applications in health and wellbeing, Samantha continues to bridge the gap between artistic expression and evidence-based practice in movement and rehabilitation.
